After returning the first adapter as defective, and after many hours on the phone with the tech people on the first adapter and its replacement, a tech rep finally admitted that the driver for the WUSB600N is not compatible with Microsoft Servicepak 3, which I assume has been installed on virtually every pc in existence. I wanted a faster internet connection so I bought the Linksys WRT160N Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router with that I also bought the USB Network Adapter. It was an easy setup, took less than 5 mins with the disc in and connecting it to the USB port. After that, I setup the connection with my router to reccognize the adapter to input the password. For especially new PCs (or laptops) this router seems to have the performance desired. Web pages load faster than any I've experienced before.

Concerned with set-up, I called tech support and they had it running in about 15 minutes.

So far, no problems with Vista x64.

500 Ghz for (new) laptop; 2.4 Ghz for other devices (PC and Xbox 360).

Range may be slightly limited but quite satisfactory. Beats my old router that cuts out every few hours.

I'm using this router for my home network with Brighthouse Tampa as my ISP. I did need to update the router's Firmware to version 1.00.02 B10 for it to reliably hold wireless connections to my Windows XP based laptops. Other than this its performance has been quite good. My only complaint about the router is I am not able to see the IP addresses of connected devices via its Web interface. the 300 mbit connection only seems to work if i am in the same room. going to another room can reduce

I received this router a few days ago and opened it very excitedly. I attempted to set it up and it wasn't successful at first. However, after toying with it for a while, I got it setup and working well. There are quirks, though. My laptop will not recognize the 802.11n radio band, which I was immensely excited to try. I've used other Linksys products for years and have been generally happy wit them. Sadly, this one isn't worth the time or the money and I will be returning it. 1) The range is limited-not up to what is claimed or even G standards. It will barely connect in the next room with gypsum board drywall and standard lumber construction. Don't even ask about signal strength outdoors or in another unit of this cinder block building.

This router has solved all of my connectivity problems. I bought a factory-refurbished unit, and it is absolutely perfect. Assuming that the marketing is correct, and the unit is actually refurbished by Linksys, why would anyone have a problem with this? I'm really happy I got this router. The speed is good and the range is great. I needed something that had better range than my Apple Airport and this worked like a charm. Setup is not as easy as with an Airport but it wasn't too bad. Although the ethernet cable they sent with it didn't seem reliable. I would definitely recommend purchasing your own cable.

I would have given this a 5 star if it was a combination of router/modem. I had bought this to replace my old combo router/modem because my old one had frizzled out on my as far as the wireless part of it goes.

But this is just a router so I just plugged it into my old one and it works fine. (I didn't want to go out there and buy a separate modem). I wish I had known that this was just a router so that I wouldn't be stuck using 2 different equipments for my internet... but oh well. <......

Linksys routers are a great product for the price. God forbid you ever have to call their tech support! I have been on the phone for almost 7 hours now (4 calls) and the router still doesn't work properly. I finally gave up and bought an Airport Extreme from Apple and (though more expensive) it was so easy to configure and is working perfectly! A tech support friend warned me that he has spent two hours on the phone with Linksys just to return one under warranty. No more Linksys for me!

So easy. So fast to hook up. I have a wireless printer and Roku through Netflix running now. I should have got this years ago.

A great router. I have used this router for several years for my home network and have been very happy with it. When my sister needed one, I bought it for her. It has a built in firewall and is really easy to install. I highly recommend it.

Not much to say, the set up was easy and my laptop had no issues connecting. Every once in a while the connection is lost and the internet slows down to a crawl but that may be my service provider. The only downside to this router is the software you install on your desktop/laptop, it has an easy to use interface but to access some of the features it requires you to pay an additional fee. Personally I'd prefer to have access to the intruder detection pieces of the software for obvious reasons. <......

Wow. This unit was VERY simple to set up, walking you through every step. I replaced my older Microsoft MN-500 since it was slowing down my internet speed. I'm getting 2-3x the download speed with this Linksys unit, and effortlessly set up printer sharing on my home network, even accessible from wireless laptops. Can't ask for more.

The router worked as advertised for just over 12 months. At 12 months and a couple of weeks, port 4 failed which also took the wireless down until router and modem were reset. A few days later port 3 also failed. Linksys customer service was not very helpful, since the router only carries a 12 month limited warranty, once they checked the serial number, tney refused to help any further without paying either $29.95 for a single tech support call or $39.95 for 6 months of tech support.

This router constantly drops internet connection and I have to unplug and replug it multiple times daily. Maybe I just got a fluke, but a friend of mine said they were having the same issue. I would definitely keep the return packaging if you decide to risk it with this router!
